Safeguarding and Online Safety
We recognise our responsibility to support the safeguarding requirements of our educational partners. Our platform is designed with safety at its core.
Our Commitment
We recognise our responsibility to support the safeguarding requirements of our educational partners, in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) 2025. We work collaboratively with institutions to ensure our platform supports their statutory safeguarding duties.
Safety by Design
Safeguarding features are built into the core of our platform, not added as an afterthought.
Content Filtering
Our Authoring Tool does not provide unmoderated access to the open web. All content is created within a controlled environment.
Role-Based Access Control
Strict role-based access control (RBAC) ensures students cannot access administrative functions or view other learners' data without authorisation.
Audit Logging
Comprehensive audit logs are available for all user-generated content to support institutional monitoring policies and safeguarding investigations.
Activity Monitoring
Institutions can monitor learner activity and content submissions to identify potential safeguarding concerns early.
Prevent Duty
Our platform prohibits the hosting of extremist or radicalising content, supporting institutions in meeting their obligations under the Prevent Duty.
- Content moderation policies aligned with Prevent guidance
- Reporting mechanisms for concerning content
- Staff awareness of radicalisation indicators
Data Protection for Young Learners
We apply enhanced data protection measures for learners under 18, in line with the ICO's Age Appropriate Design Code (Children's Code).
- Privacy by default settings for young users
- No profiling or behavioural advertising
- Age-appropriate privacy information
- Parental/guardian access where appropriate
